I am an adoptive father of two girls, Rose Ningxin and Beth Xiuhua, both from Nanning in Guangxi province. We traveled in groups of 6 or 7 families on each trip to Beijing, Nanning (in Guangxi), Guilin, and Guangzhou. I have been an enthusiastic amateur 35mm photographer for many years, but bought a medium format camera (larger negative, super-sharp pictures) before our first trip. Adoption trips are taxing and emotional, making photography challenging, to say the least. But I love having that experience live on in such vivid photographs. I hope you enjoy them.
